• Firstly: surgical departments: 

1)     Department of general surgery:

In this department, there are group of consultants, specialists, and professors in Libyan and European universities, and public hospitals in the great Jamahiriya, who have a long scientific and practical experience.

Where it have been considered as most advanced department, whereas in this department the traditional operations carried out, in addition to microscopic surgery, surgical abdominal endoscope, one-day operations, and the simple operations, which requires a limited surgical intervention.

Moreover, there are group of highly skilled specialists and consultants, who has the high experience in diagnosis and treatment of thoracic, GIT, Diaphragm, Breast, and vascular diseases, as well as endocrinal disease such as thyroid gland and adrenal gland. the surgeons always stayed with  direct contact with other specialists in other hospitals and medical centers, to facing emergency situations, furthermore they have the experience and skill in dealing with immunity and hormonal systems.

In addition there is endoscopes for GIT (upper & lower), to diagnose the gastric and duodenal ulcer, and tumors of stomach, esophagus, colon, and rectal tumors, with specimens taking by means of endoscopes to confirm the diagnosis, thus giving the exact therapy for the patient.

2)     Neurosurgery department:

This department operated under supervision of specialized surgeon in neurosurgery, with a cooperation of medical staff within the clinic, where major operations held in brain and vertebral column in this department, moreover it has a correlation and cooperation with professors in some advanced medical centers and professors from German universities. Where those professors make visits occasionally to the clinic according to an invitation directed to them from administration of clinic to collaborate in some critical and complex operations, it is equipped with necessary equipments including speculum, the department has successfully performed various major operations and the praise be to God.

3)     Orthopedic department:

The orthopedic department doing reception for some urgent cases resulted from road traffic accidents, and treatment for fractures caused by these accidents, also treatment of some cases originating from congenital deformities since birth.

In addition, there is speculums unit to diagnose and treat some cases resulted from ruptures of cartilages and crucial ligaments in knee joint.

There is seeking of help program from advanced foreign experts in this field, from several foreign countries especially Italy, in that’s by arranging a periodic visits for highly skilled consultants to perform several surgical operations with assistance of national staff to follow-up these case in the clinic.

 4)    ENT department:

Operates under supervision specialized professor with a cooperation of assistant medical staff, the department provided with highly advanced, developed and microscopic equipments which essential to perform critical operations in ENT surgery.

1. In the department, availability of a complete examination to an ear by means of Oto-scope, as well as rhino-scope, and laryngo-scope, connected with a computer.

2. The department accomplishes most of ENT operations; such as tympanic membrane restoration and improving of hearing by transplantation of auditory ossicles, where it has been performed several surgical operations to repair the sclerosis of stapes bone (Stapeclectomy).

Furthermore, the maxillary sinuses operations with using of microscopes, in addition to tonsils operations, pediatric operations, and transplantation of ventilation tubes to the middle ear to improve infants hearing.In addition, respiration improvement through the nose. by repairing the defect in nasal septum and reducing nostrils.

The department has a correlation and cooperation with professors in various advanced centers, and German universities, they are performing several visits to the clinic regularly, and according to an invitation directed to them from the administration of the clinic, to carry out various examinations procedures and assisting in a complex operations.

5)    Ophthalmology department:

Operates under supervision of a specialized professor in ophthalmology, obtained his degree from one of Greek universities, attended entirely to the work with the clinic, with a number of associate professors, in addition to assistant medical staff within the clinic. Concerning the anesthesia and other medical services, the department supplied with most advanced equipments in examination and measuring of vision acuity, and most of ophthalmologic surgical operations carried out within this department.

       6)    Urology department:

One of surgical departments within the clinic operates under supervision of specialists professors, with a cooperation of medical staff within the clinic, several surgical operations has been carried out within the department, and it has followed by specialized clinic, aid in examination and diagnosis, where through this clinic most of cases are transferred to the department.

       7)    Gynecology & Obstetrics department

Operates under supervision of number of consultants and specialists in gynecology and obstetrics, who have a long scientific and practical experience, in this department, most of normal deliveries and caesarean operations are performed, and its followed by private clinic, assisting in examination and diagnosis of most pregnant cases, and follow-up of embryo condition regularly, throughout the pregnancy stages.

 Secondly: Internal medicine departments:

          1)    Department of internal medicine:

In this department there are number of professors and specialists in an internal medicine, who have a long scientific and practical experience in this field. They are working in other hospitals and medical centers. in addition, to their work with this clinic, the department receives and treats most of cases transferred to it from the internal medicine clinic, or through the emergency department.

This department provided with highly advanced equipments, to help in examination and diagnosis, such as ultrasound system, echocardiography system, and endoscope. It has an ICU with a capacity of three beds.In addition, there is a complete cooperation and mutual medical consultation between other medical departments within the clinic

2)   Dermatology department:

Operates under supervision of specialists in dermatology and genitalia, its accompanied by a private clinic, in which most of an examination and diagnosis carried out, to decide which cases requires admission within the department to receive necessary treatments.

Moreover, there is a complete cooperation and mutual medical consultations between specialists in this department with other consultants and specialists in the other department's especially internal medicine department.

 3)   Pediatrics department:

Operates under supervision of various specialists. Who have a long experience in pediatric diseases, this department works with full time, to follow-up the neonate's cases. In addition, it has been added with a private clinic. assisting in examination and diagnosis of cases visiting the clinic regularly. The specialists of this department make examination and diagnosis, then admission and follow-up of these cases within admission department, and giving the exact medical therapy and consultation from treating doctors.
